The payment window doesn't appear or freezes, or I get a "Please disable your pop-up blocker" message.
Payment
On a PC, the payment window (PortOne · KCP) opens on top of this page. During card payment, your card issuer's verification window may open as a new pop-up, and if your browser's pop-up blocker stops it, the payment looks frozen. This does not mean the site is unsafe. In most cases, Step 1 alone fixes it.
Step 1 — Allow it from the address bar (most recommended)
Step 2 — Microsoft Edge
Step 3 — Chrome / Naver Whale
Step 4 — Firefox
Step 5 — Safari (Mac)
Step 6 — Check your antivirus / security software
If it still won't open after the steps above, your antivirus software may be blocking the payment window.
If the payment window stops at card verification
If none of the steps above resolve it
Step 1 — Allow it from the address bar (most recommended)
- When a pop-up is blocked, a pop-up blocked icon appears at the right end of the address bar. Click it.
- Choose the option to always allow pop-ups from lutimize.com, then click Done.
- Refresh the payment page (F5), then pay again.
Step 2 — Microsoft Edge
- Click Settings and more (⋯) at the top right → Settings.
- Open Privacy, search, and services → Site permissions → All permissions → Pop-ups and redirects.
- Under Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects, select Add site, enter
https://lutimize.com, then click Add. - Refresh the payment page, then pay again.
Step 3 — Chrome / Naver Whale
- Click the three-dot menu at the top right → Settings.
- Click "Privacy and security" → "Site settings" → "Pop-ups and redirects". (Menu names may differ slightly in Whale.)
- Click "Add" next to "Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects", enter
https://lutimize.com, then click "Add". - Refresh the payment page, then pay again.
Step 4 — Firefox
- Click the three-line menu at the top right → Settings.
- Click "Privacy & Security" in the left menu.
- Scroll down and, in the "Permissions" section, click the "Exceptions" button to the right of "Block pop-up windows".
- Enter
https://lutimize.com, then click "Allow" → "Save Changes".
Step 5 — Safari (Mac)
- From the top menu, click Safari → Preferences.
- In the top tabs, click "Websites" → in the left list, click "Pop-up Windows".
- In the list of currently open websites, change the dropdown for the lutimize.com entry to "Allow".
Step 6 — Check your antivirus / security software
If it still won't open after the steps above, your antivirus software may be blocking the payment window.
- The "web security" or "site blocking" feature of antivirus programs such as V3, ALYac, or Norton Internet Security may be active.
- In your antivirus settings, add lutimize.com to your trusted sites / exceptions list / allow list.
- Alternatively, you can temporarily turn off your antivirus's "web security" feature just while paying, and turn it back on after payment is complete.
If the payment window stops at card verification
- If you chose an app card, finish approving the payment in your card issuer's app on your phone.
- If it still doesn't move, close it with the X at the top right of the payment window and try again.
- If you already approved on your phone, it will be applied automatically in a moment. Check your payment history in your profile before paying again.
- You can also pay by bank transfer (virtual account). You can pick any bank and send the money from any Korean bank app, including Toss and KakaoBank.
If none of the steps above resolve it
- Try a different browser — accessing via Chrome resolves it in most cases.
- Access in Incognito mode — this is effective when an extension is the cause.
- If it still doesn't work, capture a screenshot during the payment process and send it to [email protected] and we'll help you quickly.
Can I gift Lutimize to someone else?
Payment
Yes, you can. You can gift it to someone else by purchasing an activation code.
If you already own the same plan or a higher one, the payment page automatically switches to code purchase mode. In this mode:
If you already own the same plan or a higher one, the payment page automatically switches to code purchase mode. In this mode:
- Instead of being applied to your own account, an activation code that someone else can use is issued.
- You can purchase up to 50 at a time, making it useful for group gifts and event prizes.
- Right after payment, the code is automatically sent to the email you signed up with.
- The recipient enters the code in the code entry field on the payment page, and the plan is activated immediately.
Why is it paid?

This software is built on a proprietary optimization algorithm researched and developed in-house by Lutimize.
Hundreds of hours of testing and verification went into analyzing the causes of Windows system performance degradation and deriving optimal setting values, and the core is our own self-developed optimization logic — not a mere collection of settings.
It is also operated on a paid basis in order to reliably provide ongoing maintenance that keeps up with Windows updates, new feature development, and technical support. However, it uses a perpetual-license model where a single purchase lets you use it for life with no additional cost, making it a very reasonable choice in the long run.

Can I get a refund?
Payment
A refund can be requested if it is before the HWID (Hardware ID) has been registered after purchase.
However, if you have run the program and the HWID has been registered to your account, the usage history cannot be reversed due to the nature of the software, so refunds may be restricted. This is a common policy based on the characteristics of digital content.
For refund-related inquiries, please contact us at [email protected] or via Discord and we will assist you promptly. You can find the detailed refund policy in the Terms of Service.

Can I get a payment receipt?
Payment
Yes, all payments are processed through the PG provider (PortOne), and an electronic receipt is issued automatically.
Right after payment is complete, the payment details are sent to your registered email, and you can also check them anytime under My Page → Payment History. In the case of card payments, your card statement will show "Lutimize" or the name of the PG provider.
If you need a cash receipt or a tax invoice, please contact [email protected].

Is it an auto-renewing subscription? How do I cancel?
Payment
No. Every Lutimize plan uses a perpetual license (buyout) model.
In other words, you pay once and that's it — there is absolutely no auto-billing, recurring charges, or subscription renewal. We don't store your payment information either, so no separate cancellation process is needed.
Some card companies may show a short-term temporary hold right after payment, but no actual recurring charge occurs.

Do you offer enterprise/group licenses?
Payment
Yes. If you need multiple licenses for a group, internet café, office, etc., there are two ways.
- Code purchase (self-service) — You can purchase up to 50 activation codes at a time on the payment page.
- Custom quote — If you need more than 50 or require a tax invoice, please contact [email protected]. We'll provide volume discount information.
Can I use it on multiple PCs?
License
Licenses are issued on a 1 account = 1 PC basis.
When you run the program for the first time, the PC's unique Hardware ID (HWID) is registered to your account, and from then on it can only be used on that PC. This is the standard method for preventing license sharing and duplicate use, and you may use it without any usage limit on your single, personal PC.
If you wish to use it on multiple PCs, you can purchase additional licenses via code purchase mode and apply them to other PCs (up to 50 at a time).

Can I transfer my license if I change PCs? (HWID policy)
License
We're sorry, but transferring (re-registering) a license to a different PC is not supported. This is the case even if the HWID changes due to a PC replacement, motherboard replacement, and so on.
The license is bound to the PC registered on first run (your main device), and this is a policy to prevent abuse such as account sharing and duplicate use. Since there is no realistic way for the server to distinguish an actual device change from abuse, we unfortunately apply the same standard to all transfer requests, and we kindly ask for your understanding.

- With Lutimize Pass, a single account can register and use up to 3 devices for as long as the Pass is active. This is the quickest way to add a new PC. Note that when the Pass expires the limit drops back to 1, and only the device that was registered first can keep signing in.
- To use it on a new PC, you can purchase an additional license via code purchase mode (available for checkout from Korea only — outside Korea, please use the Lutimize Pass above).
- Updating or reinstalling Windows, or changing the boot disk, usually does not change the HWID (it is derived from your motherboard), so you can keep using Lutimize on the same PC.
Which operating systems are supported?
Technical
Currently Windows 10 (64bit) and Windows 11 (64bit) are officially supported.
- Windows 10 version 1903 or later recommended
- 32bit operating systems are not supported
- Windows 7, 8, 8.1 are not supported
- macOS and Linux are not supported
Do I need to keep it running at all times after installation?
Technical
No. Once optimizations are applied, those settings are permanently saved to Windows, so there's no need to keep the program running afterward.
However, in the situations below some settings may be reset, so re-optimization is recommended.

- After a major Windows update (e.g., 22H2 → 23H2)
- After reinstalling Windows
- After running another optimization tool or recovery software
Can I use it without an internet connection?
Technical
Internet is only required for the login step. After logging in, all core features such as system optimization and file cleanup work completely offline.
In addition, once you've logged in, an auto-login session is maintained for a certain period, so you can use it conveniently without having to connect to the internet every time.

How do I get updates?
Technical
When you launch the program, it automatically checks for the latest version, and if a new version is available, an update notice is displayed. There's no need to download it again separately from the website.
Updates are provided free of charge for life, with new features, bug fixes, and support for the latest Windows versions released on a regular basis.

Does it conflict with antivirus software?
Safety
It works normally with most antivirus software.
Some antivirus programs may flag Lutimize as a false positive. This is because they detect the program's act of modifying the registry as suspicious in itself. It is not actual malware but a legitimate program.
If a false positive occurs, you can resolve it as follows.

If a false positive occurs, you can resolve it as follows.
- Windows Defender — Security Center → Virus & threat protection → add the path to the Lutimize executable under Exclusions
- Other antivirus — add Lutimize to that antivirus's exception/trusted list
Microsoft Edge shows a "this file isn't commonly downloaded" warning. Is it safe?
Safety
It is safe. This warning is simply an automatic notice that Microsoft Defender SmartScreen shows because not enough cumulative download reputation data has been accumulated for the new version of the installer yet — it is not a malware detection. Once a sufficient number of users download it, the warning disappears automatically.
How to proceed with installation (Edge)
How to proceed with installation (Edge)
- In the download panel at the top right of Edge, click the ⋯ (More) button next to the LutimizeSetup_*.exe item
- Select "Keep" → then confirm once more with "Trust this file"
- If a blue SmartScreen warning window additionally appears when you run the installer, click "More info" → "Run anyway"
Nothing happens when I double-click the installer.
Technical
If not even an error window appears, it means the installer never started at all. This is almost never a problem with the program itself — it is usually either (1) a download that was cut off and left the file corrupted, or (2) Windows or your antivirus silently blocking it. Please work through the steps below in order.
Step 1 — Check the installer file size (most common cause)
Step 2 — Unblock the file
Step 3 — Run as administrator
Step 4 — When turning off your antivirus did not help
Disabling real-time protection does not restore a file that has already been quarantined or "cleaned". Simply turning the antivirus off will not fix it.
Step 5 — Turn off Smart App Control (Windows 11 24H2 or later)
This feature blocks programs that have not yet built up download reputation silently, with no notification — which matches these symptoms exactly.
Still stuck? Send us the installer log
Step 1 — Check the installer file size (most common cause)
- Right-click the installer file and choose "Properties".
- Look at the "Size" value.
- Expand "Technical details" near the bottom of the download page to see the correct file size and SHA256 hash. If your file is smaller, the download was corrupted.
- If the size differs, delete the file and download it again. Using a Chrome incognito window or a different browser (Edge, etc.) is more reliable.
Step 2 — Unblock the file
- Right-click the installer and choose "Properties".
- At the bottom of the window, if you see "Security: This file came from another computer..." with an [Unblock] checkbox, tick it.
- Click "Apply" → "OK", then run the installer again.
Step 3 — Run as administrator
- Right-click the installer and choose "Run as administrator".
- When "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" appears, click "Yes".
Step 4 — When turning off your antivirus did not help
Disabling real-time protection does not restore a file that has already been quarantined or "cleaned". Simply turning the antivirus off will not fix it.
- Open the Quarantine or History section of your antivirus (V3, ALYac, Norton, etc.).
- If a Lutimize entry is listed, restore it and add it to the exclusion / trusted list.
- Then download the installer again and run it.
Step 5 — Turn off Smart App Control (Windows 11 24H2 or later)
This feature blocks programs that have not yet built up download reputation silently, with no notification — which matches these symptoms exactly.
- Go to Settings → Privacy & security → Windows Security → App & browser control.
- Click "Smart App Control settings" and select "Off".
- Run the installer again. ⚠ Note: once Smart App Control is turned off, it cannot be turned back on without resetting or reinstalling Windows. Windows Defender real-time protection and SmartScreen keep running, so your PC is not left unprotected.
Still stuck? Send us the installer log
- Move the installer to your Desktop.
- Press Win + R, type cmd, then press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open an administrator Command Prompt.
- Paste the line below — replacing x.x.x with the version number in your actual file name — and press Enter.
"%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\LutimizeSetup_x.x.x.exe" /LOG="%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\lutimize_install.log" - If lutimize_install.log appears on your Desktop, send us that file. If no file is created at all, say "no log file" and email [email protected].
I get a "0x80070659 - This installation is forbidden by system policy" error during installation.
Technical
This is an error that occurs when a Windows protection feature temporarily blocks the installation. It is not blocked because it's malware, and in most cases simply restarting the PC once resolves it. Try the steps below in order.
Step 1 — Restart the PC (try this first)
Step 2 — Run as administrator
Step 3 — Windows 11 24H2 or later users only (turn off Smart App Control)
On the latest versions of Windows 11, the "Smart App Control" feature may block the installation.
Step 4 — Temporarily pause your antivirus
If the 4 steps above don't resolve it
Step 1 — Restart the PC (try this first)
- Click Start menu → Power → "Restart".
- Note: Closing and reopening a laptop lid (waking from sleep) is not enough. You must click "Restart" to fully shut down and power the PC back on.
- Once the restart finishes, double-click the LutimizeSetup_x.x.x.exe file again to install.
Step 2 — Run as administrator
- Locate the downloaded LutimizeSetup_x.x.x.exe file (usually in the "Downloads" folder).
- Right-click the file.
- Select "Run as administrator" from the menu.
- When the "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" window appears, click "Yes".
Step 3 — Windows 11 24H2 or later users only (turn off Smart App Control)
On the latest versions of Windows 11, the "Smart App Control" feature may block the installation.
- Type "Windows Security" into the search box next to the Start menu to launch it.
- Click "App & browser control" in the left menu.
- Click "Smart App Control settings" → select "Off".
- Run the installer again. ⚠ Note: once Smart App Control is turned off, it cannot be turned back on without resetting or reinstalling Windows. Windows Defender real-time protection and SmartScreen keep running, so your PC is not left unprotected.
Step 4 — Temporarily pause your antivirus
- Right-click the tray icon of the antivirus you're using (V3, ALYac, Norton, McAfee, etc.).
- Select "Pause real-time protection" or "Turn off protection" (usually with 10-minute to 1-hour options).
- Run the installer again, and once installation is complete, turn your antivirus back on.
If the 4 steps above don't resolve it
- If it's a work or school PC, installation is likely blocked by Group Policy. Please contact your IT administrator.
- If it keeps being blocked even on a personal PC, capture the error screen and send it to [email protected] and we'll help you quickly.
I get a "Cannot read hardware ID" error when logging in.
Technical
For its 1 account = 1 PC policy, Lutimize converts your PC's hardware information into a short code (HWID). This error occurs when the internal Windows service (WMI) that provides this information temporarily fails to respond, or when some PCs (mainly DIY/whitebox motherboards) have a blank manufacturer serial number in their firmware. It is not blocked because it's malware, and in most cases updating to the latest version resolves it immediately.
Step 0 — Update to the latest version (try this first)
Step 1 — Restart the PC
Step 2 — Automatically repair the Windows hardware information service
Step 3 — Repair Windows system files
If the command above doesn't resolve it, your Windows system files may be corrupted.
Step 4 — Temporarily pause your antivirus
If the 4 steps above don't resolve it
Step 0 — Update to the latest version (try this first)
- Lutimize v1.5.1 or later has been improved to automatically recognize PCs without a serial number in their firmware using another stable identifier.
- Fully close the existing Lutimize, then download the latest installer from the official download page and reinstall. (Your existing settings are preserved during installation.)
- After installing, launch it again and try logging in. In most cases this step alone resolves it.
Step 1 — Restart the PC
- Click Start menu → Power → "Restart".
- Closing and reopening a laptop lid (waking from sleep) is not enough. You must click "Restart" to fully shut down and power the PC back on.
- Once the restart finishes, launch Lutimize again and try logging in.
Step 2 — Automatically repair the Windows hardware information service
- Type "cmd" into the search box next to the Start menu.
- Right-click the "Command Prompt" that appears in the search results → select "Run as administrator".
- When the "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" window appears, click "Yes".
- When the black window appears, type the following exactly and press Enter (copy & paste works):
winmgmt /salvagerepository - If a message saying "WMI repository has been salvaged" or "consistent" appears, it succeeded.
- Restart the PC once more, then launch Lutimize again.
Step 3 — Repair Windows system files
If the command above doesn't resolve it, your Windows system files may be corrupted.
- Open an administrator Command Prompt again, the same way as Step 2.
- Type the following command and press Enter (takes about 5–15 minutes):
sfc /scannow - Once done, type the following command next (also takes some time):
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - Once both commands finish, restart the PC and launch Lutimize.
Step 4 — Temporarily pause your antivirus
- Right-click the tray icon of the antivirus you're using (V3, ALYac, Norton, McAfee, etc.).
- Select "Pause real-time protection" or "Turn off protection".
- Launch Lutimize again and try logging in.
- If you can log in normally, add Lutimize to your antivirus's exception list (allow list) in its settings.
If the 4 steps above don't resolve it
- If it's a work or school PC, Windows hardware information lookup is likely blocked by a security policy. Please contact your IT administrator.
- If it keeps failing even on a personal PC, run
winmgmt /verifyrepositoryin an administrator Command Prompt, capture the result screen, and send it to [email protected] and we'll handle it directly.
After optimization, in-game textures look corrupted.
Technical
On some graphics card/driver combinations, if Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) is turned on, in-game textures may look corrupted like a mosaic. This is a compatibility issue reported in certain games (e.g., Apex Legends), and turning HAGS off and restarting resolves it in most cases.
Step 1 — Turn off HAGS in Lutimize
Step 2 — Turn it off directly in Windows settings (alternative)
Step 3 — Reinstall the graphics driver (if nothing above works)
Step 1 — Turn off HAGS in Lutimize
- Launch Lutimize and go to the Performance Optimization tab.
- Turn on "Disable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling" (a Danger-tier item), then click "Start Optimization".
- Restart the PC. (HAGS changes take effect after a restart.)
Step 2 — Turn it off directly in Windows settings (alternative)
- Go to Settings → System → Display → Graphics → Default graphics settings.
- Set "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" to Off.
- Restart the PC.
Step 3 — Reinstall the graphics driver (if nothing above works)
- Download the latest graphics driver from the official NVIDIA / AMD / Intel site and reinstall it with the "clean install" option.
- Running a verify integrity of game files in your game launcher (Steam / EA app, etc.) will regenerate corrupted shader caches.
After optimization, the drag-to-arrange feature (Snap) doesn't work.
Technical
This is when the "window drag arrange (Snap)" feature — which automatically arranges windows to half-screen or maximized when you drag them to the edge of the screen — stops working. The cause is that visual-effects optimization in an older version also turned off this setting, and it has been fixed in the latest version.
Simplest fix (recommended)
Turn it on directly in Windows settings
Simplest fix (recommended)
- Just run optimization one more time in the latest version of Lutimize, and window drag arrange will be turned back on automatically.
Turn it on directly in Windows settings
- Go to Settings → System → Multitasking.
- Set "Snap windows" (or "window drag") to On.
It says "Update required" and I can't log in.
Technical
This notice is shown when the currently installed version is too old to be compatible with the server. It can happen when an automatic update didn't complete properly, and manually reinstalling the latest version resolves it immediately.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please reinstall manually following the steps below.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please reinstall manually following the steps below.
- Completely remove the existing Lutimize from Control Panel → Add/Remove Programs.
- Download the latest installer from the official download page.
- Run the new installer to install it.
I'm not receiving emails (signup verification / password reset / receipt emails — all of them).
Technical
All emails Lutimize sends (signup verification, password reset, payment receipts, activation codes) are sent from the sender
Step 1 — Check the spam folder (90%+ resolved here)
Step 2 — Wait 5–10 minutes
Step 3 — Add as a safe sender (prevent recurrence)
To keep receiving emails normally going forward, add [email protected] to your whitelist.
Step 4 — Check for typos in the email address
Check that the email you entered at signup is correct. Common mistakes:
Step 5 — Work / school / public institution email
Step 6 — Additional notes for Naver / Daum / Nate users
If it's still not resolved, please contact [email protected] with the time you attempted signup + the email address you used. An operator will check the mail delivery logs directly for you.
[email protected]. Most non-delivery cases are resolved with steps 1–2 alone.Step 1 — Check the spam folder (90%+ resolved here)
- Be sure to check not only your inbox but also your spam / junk folder.
- Gmail users: also check the "Promotions" tab and the "Spam" label besides the inbox.
- Naver users: click "Spam Mailbox" in the left menu and type "lutimize" in the search box.
- Daum users: check "Spam Blocked" and search for lutimize.
mg.lutimize.com domain is still building up its sending reputation, some email providers may initially classify it as spam.Step 2 — Wait 5–10 minutes
- It usually arrives within 1–2 minutes, but depending on mail server load it may be delayed by up to 10 minutes.
- In the meantime, do not request the same email multiple times — doing so can actually raise your spam score and get you blocked.
Step 3 — Add as a safe sender (prevent recurrence)
To keep receiving emails normally going forward, add [email protected] to your whitelist.
- Gmail: Open the Lutimize email in your spam folder and click "Not spam" → the three dots next to the sender → "Add to contacts".
- Naver: Settings → Spam Settings → add
[email protected]to the auto-receive allow list. - Outlook / Hotmail: Settings → Mail → Junk email → add the domain
mg.lutimize.comto Safe senders.
Step 4 — Check for typos in the email address
Check that the email you entered at signup is correct. Common mistakes:
- Typing
.comas.con/.corn naver.com→navar.comgmail.com→gmial.com
Step 5 — Work / school / public institution email
- If there's a policy blocking external mail, ask your system administrator to allow the
mg.lutimize.comdomain. - Or, signing up again with a personal email (Gmail recommended) is the fastest option.
Step 6 — Additional notes for Naver / Daum / Nate users
- Domestic mail services sometimes silently drop externally sent mail without notification.
- If the steps above don't work, signing up again with Gmail is the most reliable option.
If it's still not resolved, please contact [email protected] with the time you attempted signup + the email address you used. An operator will check the mail delivery logs directly for you.
